Privacy Notice

This notice explains how our guide, info.elysianmc.world, handles information about you. It doesn't use analytics, advertising or any kind of tracking. Our main website and our wiki have their own notices.

Who runs this site

The ElysianMC server team, led by Nyseus. You can reach us at elysian.minecraft.server@gmail.com.

What our server records

The guide runs on a server we rent from OVH, a European hosting company. Like almost every website, it keeps a short technical log of each visit: your IP address, the page you asked for, your browser type and the time. The logs are used only to keep the guide running and secure, which is a legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. They're kept only as long as that needs and then deleted.

Cookies

The guide sets two cookies: bookstack_session, which keeps your session working, and XSRF-TOKEN, a security token that protects its forms against misuse. Both are needed for the guide to work, expire after two hours and aren't used for tracking.

If you pick a look (Classic or Elysian) with the switch at the bottom of the page, your choice is saved in your own browser so it stays that way. It never leaves your device, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes it. The guide stores nothing else in your browser.

Accounts and comments

Only our staff have accounts on the guide, and only signed-in staff can post comments. Visitors can read everything without an account.

If you email us

We use your email address and message only to reply to you, which is a legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. We keep the conversation only as long as we need it to deal with your message.

Images from Coda

Nearly everything on the guide comes from our own server. Some of our pages show images stored at Coda (codahosted.io), so opening one of those pages sends your IP address to Coda, under Coda's own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you and for a copy of it, and ask us to correct it, delete it or limit how we use it. Just email us. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Your right to object

Because we rely on our legitimate interest for the server logs and for answering emails, you have the right to object to that at any time, for reasons relating to your particular situation. Email us and we'll stop unless we have compelling grounds that override your interests.
